...Oh! and i've been playing with projecting, mainly stuff against my wall but I did find a easy way(ish) to do it - torch, quality street wrapper, nailvarnish

What i was trying to project was a rabbit :/
I don't really think i'm going to get any kind of character detail in if I do projections, maybe i'm better with the cut out approach, making something out of card or something similar? hmmm.
