Display

Finally picked a Display title,

2. "Use a building as a screen"

I started thinking about all the people that use buildings as canvases, like the artists linked with |http://graffitiresearchlab.com/| like the works in dublin:

Projecting images onto buildings ♥ perfect.

I got my new book too;

cost a pretty heafty £20 but well worth it (Probably cheaper here if you fancy a copy), should really help with ideas. Realistically considering i'll have quite a short space of time maybe a full on building projection might be abit beyond me, but i can try. The GRL (Graffiti Research Lab) are very anti advertising after "The industry began to adopt all the rules of the graffiti artist (using every piece of available space to sell their products) it's become a war " (pg 90).

KNOW HOPE

Know Hope is a fantastic example of using buildings as a screen, it doesn't exactly have to be a big arty display, he focouses on making smaller more significant ones, like the video above and the incredibly cute picture above (Street Knowledge pg 136/137) He says that "the draw of using the un named character on a regular basis was the realization that i could create a tool, not only to make and form those same juxtapositions created by everyday life but allow the viewer to conduct a long term relationship with it, the character becomes an everyman."

So I gave it abit of a bash:

Not too shabby, i think i've created some kind of monster now though that will end up covering the streets of brum....or at least the street outside Jennens if i'm feeling lazy haha.
